Good to see so many girls at the Kang Open Gym last night. Lots of fun and camaraderie. No sign of the coach, but I suppose they can't coach anyway, right? I'd sure be spending this time of year figuring out who my varsity leaders and up and coming underclassmen were by watching them play, but that's just me, I guess.

which is a contest for young competitive volleyball players from 13-18
in the US as we approach the London Summer Games.
Mizuno is

CVD, generally if the HS coach is "coaching" her HS team prior to the last HS state play-off match, regardless of the sport, then that is a WIAA violation. It is why a player can't play club for their HS coach in Washington (different rules, different states). There are a exceptions such as if the HS/Club coach is also the player's parent.

Got it. I was referring to "open gym" time where the girls get together and play volleyball; the coach is allowed to be there, but not actively 'coach' per se....but nothing wrong IMO with seeing what you've got as tryouts approach at end of summer. I'm excited about Maddie's senior year too!
